Georgia Southern University

Background:

The Georgia Southern chapter of UCWGA is a growing group of faculty and staff committed to equity, transparency, and shared governance at Georgia Southern.

Since the chapter formed in 2018, we've campaigned against consolidation-related budget cuts and teaching load increases. Locally, we've held recruitment drives, happy hours, and information sessions. Our members work with the statewide UCW committees to advocate for higher education reform in Georgia.

Fighting for a Healthy Workplace

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, UCW at Georgia Southern has advocated for effective public health and effective pedagogy at the university and system level.
