UCWGA KSU chapter is raising money to help laid off workers: Donate or Request Funds here.

While we continue to work to reverse these cruel and unnecessary layoffs and stop further layoffs, workers who have already been laid off are left without health insurance, retirement benefits, and pay. Some are dealing with immediate health crises or cannot pay for housing, food, or other basic needs. Therefore, UCWGA-KSU has been raising money to help support the immediate needs of our coworkers who have been impacted by KSU’s layoffs.

If you would like to donate money to the fund or ask others to donate: click here.

If you are someone who was laid off through the temporary or permanent reduction in force process or are a former part-time worker who was not rehired this fall or for next spring, let us know if you need financial assistance by SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 29, 2020.

We have collected almost $2000 in our first round of fundraising and are ready to distribute the funds. To receive financial support through this effort, please send us an email to KSUWorkers [at] gmail [dot] com with the following information:

  2. E-mail address (non-KSU)

  4. Home address

  8. How much money do you need? Please be specific about how much you need for each item. Also, even if you need more than we have to give right now please let us know how much you actually need because we may be able to raise additional funds once we know how much is needed.
